Hello IT Pro,

Welcome back to IT Pro Tuesday!

This week, we’re looking for your favorite tools to share with the community. Please let us know those that help you do things more easily so you get better at your job!

As always, we’re updating the full, searchable list on our website here. Enjoy.

But on with this week's tools...! Here are the most-interesting items that have come across our desks, laptops and phones this week. Hornetsecurity has no known affiliation with any of these unless we explicitly state otherwise.

A Free Tool

pfSense is an open-source firewall and router you can manage via web interface. It is a customized distribution of FreeBSD with many related features and a package system for bloat-free expansion without adding potential security vulnerabilities to the base distribution. Thanks go to austindcc for this one!

P.S. Bonus Free Tools

ntopng provides an intuitive, encrypted web interface for exploring realtime and historical network traffic information. Serves as an improved version of the original ntop traffic probe. For Unix, MacOSX and Windows.

JD's Ping Test is a lightweight ping test with some nice features that are missing in many other options, including multiple concurrent tests, a tab-separated log file, adjustable timeout and delay and pausability. Suggested by j0mbie for occasions when you need to ping multiple IPv6 addresses.

Have a fantastic week and as usual, let us know any comments.
