Burns Night, celebrated annually on January 25th, commemorates the life and works of the famous Scottish poet, Robert Burns. In 2025, Burns Night will be celebrated on a Saturday, providing an excellent opportunity for people to come together and enjoy traditional Scottish festivities.
The celebration of Burns Night has been a tradition for over two centuries, with the first Burns Supper being held in 1801. Over the years, Burns Night has become a way for people to celebrate Scottish culture and heritage, as well as the works of one of its most famous poets. Traditional Burns Night celebrations typically include a dinner with haggis, neeps, and tatties, as well as the recitation of Burns’ poetry and the singing of Scottish songs.
