The AFC Champions League Two 2024-2025, also known as the ACL2, is the second tier of the AFC Champions League, Asia’s premier club football competition. It was introduced in 2024 as part of the AFC’s Vision 2030 strategy to develop football in the region. The competition features 32 teams from across Asia, divided into eight groups of four. The group winners and runners-up advance to the knockout stage, where they will compete for the title of ACL2 champion.
The ACL2 provides a platform for clubs from emerging football nations to compete at a high level and gain experience on the continental stage. It also offers a pathway to the AFC Champions League, giving clubs the opportunity to qualify for Asia’s top club competition. The inaugural ACL2 season was won by Eastern FC of Hong Kong, who defeated PSM Makassar of Indonesia in the final. The competition has quickly gained popularity among fans and clubs alike, and is expected to continue to grow in the coming years.
