President’s Day 2025 falls on Monday, February 17th. It is a federal holiday in the United States that honors all those who have served as President of the United States.
The holiday was originally established in 1885 to honor George Washington’s birthday. In 1971, it was moved to the third Monday in February to create a three-day weekend for federal employees. The name was changed to President’s Day in 1983 to recognize all U.S. presidents.
