The 2025 Texas Longhorns football schedule has not yet been released, but the team is expected to play a challenging slate of games. The Longhorns will open the season at home against the Arkansas Razorbacks on September 6th, and will also host the Alabama Crimson Tide on September 20th. Texas will travel to face the LSU Tigers on October 11th and the Oklahoma Sooners on October 25th. The Longhorns will close out the regular season at home against the Texas A&M Aggies on November 29th.
The 2025 season will be the Longhorns’ first under new head coach Steve Sarkisian. Sarkisian was hired in January 2021 after spending the previous four seasons as the head coach at the University of Washington. He has a career record of 46-35 and has led his teams to bowl games in each of his four seasons as a head coach.
